Transforming an ordinary concreted sump area into a vibrant welcoming home garden

The client wanted the bare light green tile surface of the sump covered as it was displeasing to look at everyday, especially because the feature was directly in front of the house. There was a tiny fountain feature as well but as the house was inhabited by an elderly couple, they were looking for something with easy maintenance, without having to control or operate any extra features.
The lawn area was dense with weeds but the lawn itself was scanty and dry. It needed an uplift so that would be a nice play area for their grandchild and pet dog.

The Challenge
Today, there are a whole range of complicated and unnecessary offerings in the market that are not really cost effective to many home gardeners. These processes may cause confusion and demand usage of a high quantity of natural resources such as water. As a result, It is considered that maintaining one’s own garden is a strenuous venture that might not be worth the effort. With the right kind of initial support and guidance, gardening can be a fun, healthy and a wholesome hobby for the family.

As sustainability is one of our core beliefs, our approach is to avoid existing infrastructure or biotic components in any project go to waste. Our designs do not exploit any existing natural resources on the property and we keep them as efficient as possible. We incorporate plant species based on size, climate, soil and water requirements to ensure that the plants are in the ideal environment to thrive. For the client, we suggested species and attractive planters based on their required maintenance level and aesthetics.
We were able to take on all the requests of our client and also add interesting elements in the mix.
