Application

Natural wetland ecosystems are known as the ‘Earth’s kidneys’ as they filter pollutants from water that flows through them and transform them into bioavailable plant nutrients. Constructed Wetland Treatment Systems are engineered structures that imitate natural wetland ecosystems in order to treat and recycle a variety of wastewaters including urban runoff, municipal, industrial and agricultural effluents and acid mine drainage.

Our Approach

Unlike conventional STPs (Sewage Treatment Plants), these systems are cost-effective and mostly gravity-based, requiring minimal to no energy, minimal maintenance suitable for non-specialized labourers, naturally resistant to fluctuations in water quality and quantity, and offering at the same time, numerous ecological benefits.
